Corrieshalloch Gorge

This short walk leads to a spectacular narrow gorge, home to the incredible Falls of Measach which plunge 46m into the gorge below. This area is a National Trust for Scotland Nature Reserve.

Description

Start : Corrieshalloch Gorge car park. Grid ref. NH 20222 77966

(S/E) From Corrieshalloch Gorge car park go through the gate at the left/north side of the car park and turn left (North West) along the footpath (avoiding the temptation to head straight to the falls!)

(1) Follow the footpath as it traverses the hillside then turns back on itself to eventually reach a fork next to the suspension bridge. Continue ahead (North East) to cross the bridge.

(2) At the other side walk along the footpath for approx 300m to a viewpoint. Retrace your steps back to the bridge, cross back over and turn left at the fork (1). The path zig zags back up to Corrieshalloch Gorge car park (S/E)
