Description of the walk

Access : From Plomelin on theD20 road called "Route des Châteaux".

__Start:_ Moulin Mer car park.

Waymarkers: GR® 34 : White and Red Marking

(S/E) From the car park, join the path along the Combrit cove (GR®38A), bordered by a wooded area (photo). Pass a bird-watching station. Shortly afterwards, the path bends left and climbs up to reach the Lestremeur site (bread oven, fountain and wash-house, pond).

(1) Go around the dovecote to reach a road which you take right, leaving the manor house on your left (former property of the Marquise de Sévigné).

No waymarkers

(2) Take the first road on the right, towards An Estrevihan town. (You're leaving the GR®.)The road runs alongside greenhouses and continues along a path on the right which joins a field, which you walk around to reach a woodland. Follow the path through the woodland to the left, overlooking the cove. On your left, you'll see a private property sign. It refers only to the path going to the left. Continue along the path in the woods on the cove side. After a while, it reaches the shore. On your right, you'll see the bottom of the cove you've skirted and the Bodivit manor house.

(3) Continue on the path along a wood, which continues along the edge of the cove (Caution : keep an eye on the timetable and tidal coefficient, impossible to pass at high tide). On your left, you'll see a stone wall topped by very old oak trees. Continue until you reach the junction with the Odet (view of the Cornouaille bridge over this river).

(4) On the left, a path overlooks the river bank: follow it. The path climbs up along fields and joins a road on the left.

(5) Continue along this road, lined with tall beech trees, until you reach the intersection with the GR®.

GR® 34 : White and Red waymarkers

(6) Turn right and follow the tree-lined road, skirting an equestrian center on the left and ignoring the roads on the right.

(7) Turn left into the woodland. The trail follows an athletic path.

No waymarkers

(8) Before the junction, at a cross (opposite, the Chapelle Saint-Roch: private access), turn left onto a path which overhangs the road for a moment, turn left then right following along fir plantations and descends to the starting car park. (S/E)
