Description of the walk

Car park on the small road branching off to the right at the cemetery (on the left) on the RT1 heading north.

(S/E) Take the 4x4 track leading uphill.

(1) At the first junction, go straight on and pass under the power line. Continue along the track and, further on, go through a gate.

(2) After more than an hour’s climb, you’ll reach a sort of open plateau offering a view over the centre of Voh.
The area is well-equipped; you can have a picnic there and find some shade by the tables.
The return journey follows the same route as the outward journey back to the car park (S/E).

A beautiful setting; a walk accessible to most people, although the centre of Voh isn’t easy to find.

The centre of Voh is truly beautiful to look at from the air, and you can catch a glimpse of it at ground level whilst on this trail hike. But don’t expect to see it as clearly as in YAB’s photos.

The walk is very pleasant, but ongoing roadworks have changed the starting point – the signs now point to the new one (which is now behind the fire station). It’s very steep at the start until you rejoin the route; otherwise, it’s a non-stop climb up to the viewpoint. The weather was mild and visibility was good. Well worth a go – the ascent takes 1 hour 30 minutes, whilst the descent is much quicker. Make sure you take water with you.
