Description of the route

Starting point behind the bakery, with a car park nearby, at Place Carron de la Carrière, Rue Saint-Pierre.

YellowPR® signposting supplemented by green arrows marked with the number 22

(S/E) From the starting sign on Rue Saint-Pierre, take the small path that runs behind the bakery; then, once you reach the town hall, turn right onto another small path. At the end of this, turn left to join a side street at the end of Rue de la Vialerie.

(1) Turn right, then take a path on the left 300 metres further on, just after No. 34. At the road, turn left, then, at the following left-hand bend, turn right – this is a no-entry road except for local access. Follow the road and take a path on the left just before the hamlet of Le Frêne.

(2) Follow this path until you reach the high-speed rail line (LGV). Go under it, then turn immediately right onto a track. Follow it round the field until you reach the road you left just before, opposite the hamlet of l’Ourme.

(3) Turn right and follow the road to the Stop sign. Turn right, then take the first left; pass under the high-voltage power line and then the hamlet of Le Désert on your left. Continue along a dirt track until you reach the tarmac road.

(4) Turn left and continue for about 800 m. At the three-way junction, veer right, pass in front of Champ Gautier (no. 5) and then, at the next junction, turn 90° to the right. Follow the road to a T-junction.

(5) Turn left, pass through the block of houses, then carry on straight ahead and take the first road on the left, towards La Claye. Pass through the hamlet until you reach house no. 8.

(6) Turn onto the dirt track on the right and follow it straight on until you reach a road.

(7) Turn left and carry on straight ahead for about 4 km. Pass under the high-voltage power lines and reach a crossroad with a Stop sign.

(8) Turn right, then take the first left towards Basse Neuville. Then turn left immediately and follow the road to a farm.

(9) At the corner ofthe first building, take the path on the right, go round the farm, then turn right, keeping the fields and orchards on your right. Head towards the railway tracks, follow them for a few metres, then turn right and head towards a farm. Keep the farm on your right until you reach a crossroad.

(10) Turn left, cross over the high-speed rail line, then take the dirt track on the left which runs between the fields. Follow it until you reach a road, then continue straight on until you come to a Stop sign.

(11) Turn left, then follow the road until you reach a four-way junction.

(12) Turn right onto the D99 and head towards Domagné. At the end of Rue de l’Yaigne, continue along Rue de la Poste and turn left at the church. Then follow Rue Saint-Pierre, opposite the church forecourt, until you reach Place Carron de la Carrière (S/E).
