This route is stunning; we completed it at a leisurely pace on electric mountain bikes in five hours, following the GPX track, which is very well documented. The scenery and villages are stunning, and the climb up to the pass is easy with the electric assistance. It’s a shame there aren’t any benches at the top of the pass to have a bite to eat! So we headed down to Rombach-le-Franc and had a snack on the little terrace of the bakery, buying two delicious red-fruit tarts. The return to Sélestat is via smooth cycle paths; there are very few sections on the roads. So this is a route I highly recommend, especially if you have an e-bike. We’ll definitely be doing it again. Thanks to those who posted the route and the information. Henrihderixh
