The departure point is from the picnic area on the banks of the Serein next to the old bridge (right bank).
(S) Leave the bridge behind you and take the road towards Viviers until the first bend.
(1) Head towards the Écuries d'attelage du Serein, where international competitions are regularly held. Follow the path that runs between cultivated fields and meadows, along the Serein.
(2) Follow the tractor tracks across the fields, which will take you back to the gravel path connecting Chemilly to Poilly
(3) Stay on the path, along the mini cliff created by the meander of the Serein.
(4) At the junction with the road, take the path on the right that leads back along the Serein and follow the river until you reach the mill. This superb mill offers guest rooms.
(5) Swimming and picnicking are possible on the banks or the small islands at the foot of the weir. Take the alley opposite, slightly to the left (zigzag to the left).
(6) Take the second lane on the left and climb to the top of the plateau.
(7) At the end of the path, turn left onto the path that runs between the fields.
(8) At the end of the road, turn right, then take the first road on the right again. Go down towards the corner of the forest.
(9) Turn left at the edge of the forest. Be careful, the path is not visible. Follow the forest and the edge of the field for about 100 m.
(10) The start of the path through the forest is located exactly in the hollow of the valley.
Go down the path through the forest until you reach the D45 road.
(11) Cross it, then take the path that continues opposite, towards Le Serein, until you reach the stone ford.
Cross the Serein. A small bridge allows you to cross without getting your feet wet, except during periods of high water. Join the road, then cross the bridge and enter the village.
Take Rue du Moulin on the left, then immediately turn right into a small lane with a few steps, which leads to the church square. You can take a detour before taking the small lane to go to the mill, located 100 metres away.
You will arrive at the village square in front of the town hall (E).
