Camel's Hump, Mount Macedon and Mount Towrong, Macedon Regional Park

Start at the Picnic Ground precinct and take an easy flow through tall eucalyptus forest before gradually climbing towards Camel’s Hump, the highest point in the Macedon Ranges. Take in sweeping panoramic views across rolling countryside, including distant landmarks such as Hanging Rock. Continue through cool mountain forest, winding past snow gums, fern gullies, and volcanic rock formations. Follow varied trails through Macedon Regional Park, passing tranquil bushland and Sanatorium Lake before flowing back through scenic woodland to return to the Picnic Ground.
