Description of the route

Starting point: the junction, Chemin des Communes, D8 in Rousseville.

(S/E) Head towards Criquiers (D8), along Rue de Villedieu, then take Rue du Moutier Romain on the left. At the next fork, continue straight on along Impasse des Haies, then carry on along a grassy track. Head downhill and walk alongside a woodland on your right.

(1) At the junction on the corner, turn right onto Rue du Genetel, towards Villedieu. At the T-junction, continue left onto the road, then at the give-way sign (D129), turn left towards Haucourt. Proceed to the next junction (with a central traffic island).

(2) Turn right towards the railway line, cross the bridge and take the first path on the left as the road curves to the right. Follow the path straight on and you’ll arrive at a place called Le Bord des Bois.

(3) Continue to the left until you reach the first track on the left.

(4) Turn onto this track, cross the farmyard and turn right at the corner of the L-shaped building. Join the tarmac road and continue straight on until you reach Haucourt.

(5) Turn left, pass the town hall, ignore Rue de l’Église on the right, then turn right onto the next street, Plaine du Genetel (signpost with a blue dot). Continue along this road, keeping straight on until you reach a four-way junction near the Church of Saint-Pierre Mi les Camps.

(6) Carry on to the left, towards Rousseville, and you’ll reach a woodland after a wide bend to the right.

(7) Before leaving the woodland, take the path on the right which climbs through the undergrowth. Follow this path until you emerge from the woodland and reach a bend in a main road.

(8) Turn left and head for the start of a path on the right, near a power line at the top of the climb (there is a wayside cross).

(9) Follow this path. At the road, turn left and head towards Rousseville (S/E).

We’ve only covered a third of the route, on foot.
It’s a walk through the Normandy countryside, with houses and vegetation
A splendid view of the Pays de Bray
And a refreshing stretch through the woods.
