Circular route suitable for walking or mountain biking.
(S/E) Starts in Cussac in Haute-Vienne, on the church square. Head down towards the
(1) sewage treatment plant via the fitness trail behind the church. The path descends to
(2) cross the river via the old Monnerie factory and its pond. Passing by the factory, you
(3) cross the road to follow the edge of the pond. The path climbs back up to the international motocross track. From there, follow the yellow markings of a PDIPR trail which leads along paths through woods and meadows.
(4) Walk through Fayolas, then, on the D699, turn right for 50 metres and then left.
(5) Turn onto the first path on the right. Then continue along the path straight ahead until you reach the village of Les Liades.
(6) Take the path on the right before the village. Continue straight ahead until you reach the main road.
(7) Cross over and take the path opposite on your left, which leads into the Boubon Forest. From there, you’ll find another PDIPR path marked with yellow signposts; follow this to climb to the highest point of the forest. This forest was home to a monastery and the Resistance fighters during the Second World War.
(8) Follow this path to Villajou
(9) where you take the path on the left before reaching the village. Continuing straight on, you arrive at Puymoroux.
(10) In the village, there is a path opposite on the right that leads downhill. Follow it to reach the village of La Brégère.
(11) Then take the road back to Cussac (S/E).
