Areatza walks

Hike from the Pagomakurre car park to Gorbeia Peak. No technical difficulties, magnificent landscapes, horses, cows and sheep, guarded by very calm sheepdogs if you follow the basic rules. It is best to hike when the weather is slightly overcast or to set off very early in the morning as there is no shade along the route. Please note that it is very windy at the summit.

Starting from Lake Urkulu near the town of Aretxabaleta (Guipúzcoa, Spain), the trail takes us to Orkatzategi (870 m) and then heads towards Ojo de Aitzulo. Return via the Ermita de Santikrutz.
