The Mine to Cobreces Circular Loop
A circular route exploring the abandoned Udias mine. This mine covered a vast area, and you can see open-cast excavations. This route passes through El Pozo Peña Montero; part of the path follows the old mining track. Up there, magnificent views of the Udias Valley, the sea and the Picos de Europa await you.
Cobreces is a stop on the Camino del Norte, which takes pilgrims to Santiago de Compostela.

Circular route from Somo to Aro Lighthouse
A very enjoyable cycle ride starting from Somo to the Aro lighthouse along the coast, then back via inland roads. This ride can be done on an e-bike or a standard bike, but it’s quite a workout otherwise. Avoid road bikes with narrow tyres.
From Potes to the ghost village of Pordeciar
A circular loop from Potes to Pordeciar, a ghost village where it feels as if the inhabitants have just left. Paths surrounded mainly by cork oaks and arbutus trees. Some of the oaks have been pruned for cork harvesting. An easy route with no difficulty, there are many possible paths and the village of Porciedar is marked by wooden signs. There is an excellent view of the highest Picos de Europa peaks.
