The starting point is a small free car park located in the centre of the village of Sefrou (S). Follow the western circular route to the large waterfall (1), then retrace your steps, pass through the old fortress in the El Kalaa district (4) and lose yourself in its narrow streets. If you fancy a bit of a climb, head up to the mausoleum (3), passing by the mosque (2). Make your way back down to the fortress and continue your stroll through the medina (5), venturing into the ruins of the old Jewish quarter (7). Head back up to the car park via the more modern streets of Séfrou (E)
Discovering Sefrou and its great waterfall
An impromptu stroll through Sefrou, a pretty little town close to Fez but far from its hustle and bustle. Around these three highlights, you’ll find a few dead ends and false starts – they might just serve as inspiration. Don’t miss the round trip to the waterfall, and be sure to lose yourself in the narrow streets of the little El Kalaa quarter!
