Description

Start at Cefn Mably Arms.

(S/E) With the Cefn Mably Arms behind you, turn right onto the road, then after approximately 10 metres turn left along the track next to the old rectory. Follow the lane reaching a fingerpost and stile on your left.

(1) Follow the path and waymarks through a field gate towards a pylon in the centre of the field, then onto a stile, climb the stile and follow the path downhill towards the Michaelstone bridge.

(2) Cross roadside stile with three steps down and follow footpath immediately opposite leading you along the river. Continue along this path following the waymarks, briefly skirting into Park Wood, for a short distance before returning to the path along the river which winds its way to a small stone bridge and a stile on your right, leading you into the woodland. Cross stile, on your right, into the wood and follow circular walk waymark discs through conifers before reaching a wide farm track leading towards Park House. Follow this track, bearing right at Park House, and continue along the woodland path until reaching Parkwood House.

(3) Turn right and follow the access road to the junction with the main road.

(4) Turn left along the road for a short distance, then look out for a fingerpost directing you along a farm access track towards Croes-carn-Einion (Farmer’s Daughter Restaurant). Follow the path that skirts behind farm buildings and leads to a roadside stile.

(5) Cross stile and turn left onto the road for approximately 100 metres. Look out for a fingerpost on the right directing you across the fields to Pen-y Lan and roadside stile. Cross stile and turn right following the road.

(6) Reach a fingerpost directing you across the fields towards Pen-y-Grose Fach (marked bridleway). Continue along the field edge path before reaching the track that leads you back to the Cefn Mably Arms.(S/E)
