The banks of the Seine at Venables
A long walk through the countryside, this route offers incredible views of a circular bend in the Seine valley. Take the time to stop and enjoy a moment of tranquillity in this idyllic setting. During the walk, you’ll come across the remains of a bygone era: a feudal motte, likely built in the 11th century, the remnants of a medieval fortification. The Venables motte provided a vantage point overlooking the circular Seine bend, commanding a view of the river. To the south, the structure was complemented by a farmyard featuring a well.
