(S/E) Head east along the "Vereda do Pico Castelo". The path soon veers north-north-east.

(1) Follow the second path on the left and cross over to follow the "Vereda do Pico Castelo" - PR®2 (West) on the right. This circular route goes round Pico do Facho (516 m).

(2) At the crossroads, the western section continues to the left. Take the second path on the right, the "Vereda do Pico do Castelo" (East). On your right is Gandaia (484 m), which the path skirts as it heads west.

(1) Back at this point, rejoin the road as before but then turn left onto it.

(3) Follow the first path on the left and begin the climb towards Pico Castelo.
