Wear trousers and sun protection. The paths are not well maintained, even though we are after Béryl.
Bring a bin bag to keep your rubbish with you.
A few points:
1. Start at Anse la Roche beach. The path is a little difficult to find (marked with red markings). Although the path was made after Béryl, there are still many fallen tree trunks in places. This path was only found on the way back.
2. The path leads to a larger path. It runs alongside a property. There is a cow on the path.
3. Intersection with a larger path towards Bogles (very well marked). This track leads to a small path that climbs directly to the summit (marked by a red turtle symbol throughout). The path to Bogles is passable for a pick-up truck. No parking available on the road.
4. During the climb to the summit, there is a possible detour to a viewpoint overlooking the south of the island. Tree trunks littered the road. Progress through the bushes was not easy.
5. Stay on the main road the whole way. The old road has half disappeared (fallen tree trunks). Another road has since been built.
