Mount Murray circular to Port Grenaugh, Isle of Man

This route starts at Comis Hotel, follows well-signed public footpaths and includes road sections of the busy Douglas to Castletown road with a pedestrian footpath (take care when crossing).
The outbound route is an easy descent to Port Grenaugh, passing over fields and Glen's.
The return route is all uphill and follows country roads.

If you aren't staying at Comis Hotel, you can start the route at Port Grenaugh, where parking is permitted.

You could also take the bus to Mount Murray / Ballacutchell Road and start the route from the bus stop.

Take care when crossing the A5!

If timed correctly, there are steam railway photo opportunities, particularly on the bridge over the Santon incline.
