The tourist map gives a time of 13 hours. The route can be done in 9.5 hours, but you need to be a good walker, carry a small bag weighing 5-6 kg, take short breaks and not stop too often at the various temples. There are a lot of steps on this hike (around 30,000).
It's a beautiful climb out of season, so it's much quieter until you reach the bus stop at 2,400 metres and the cable car.
You need to take the bus just behind the Teddy Bear Hotel to Wuxiangang Bus Station to hope to reach the summit in a day. This is where the trail starts. The distances given on the tourist map are, in principle, greatly exaggerated.
