Start at Moivrons, in the car park behind the church (a small car park, but there are other places to park nearby). The car park is accessible via a narrow lane connecting Rue de la Gare and Grand’ Rue (an unnamed lane).
Moivrons is 40 minutes from Metz via the N955 then the D913 (44 minutes via the A31 and Nomeny).
It is 27 minutes from Nancy via Essey-les-Nancy and then Dommartin-sous-Amance on the D83, then on to Moivrons via the D322, the D913 and finally the D10 (other routes are available, notably via the A31, but the one described here is the quickest).
Start from the car park behind Moivrons church.
(S/E) Walk down the alley towards the Grand’Rue and turn right. Then walk to the second street on the left.
(1) Head towards Leyr (D90F) via Villers-les-Moivrons (direction signposted at the junction with traffic islands). Drive through Villers-les-Moivrons, staying on the main road (Rue de Batonchamps). After a sharp left-hand bend, turn onto Rue de la Vigneulle.
(2) Continue along Rue de la Gare. As you enter Leyr, follow Rue de la Gare (the village’s main street), then, just before a left-hand bend, turn very slightly right onto Rue de Lorraine.
(3) At the Stop sign, turn right towards Montenoy onto the D90. Ride for 1.650 km until you reach a dirt track crossing just before the entrance to Montenoy (the first houses are visible from this point).
(4) Take the dirt track on the right (in good condition) for 120 m to join the greenway. Leave the path leading up towards the forest on your left.
(5) Turn left onto the Mauchère greenway towards Custines. This is a well-maintained path for pedestrians and cyclists, with no difficult sections.
(6) Arrive at Montenoy. At the end of the greenway, cross the road. The greenway continues opposite, towards the village of Faulx.
(7) 1.900 km after Faulx, near a mobile phone mast, cross the road (D90). The greenway continues straight ahead. On reaching Malleloy, carry on straight through the village. The greenway is very well signposted and continues along Rue Claude Le Lorrain to Custines.
(8) At the end of this street, at the Stop sign, turn right towards the clearly visible roundabout (Place de la Libération). At this roundabout, keep right towards Rue du 10 Septembre. Cycle for 180 m.
(9) Turn left onto Rue Antoine Julien. Cycle for 100 m and turn right onto Rue du Général Leclerc towards Nomeny on the D44a. Cycle for 50 m.
(10) Take the first left onto Rue la Garenne (which becomes Chemin de la Garenne). Continue along this road until the junction with Chemin de la Chavée (signposted).
(11) Keep left onto Chemin de la Garenne. Do not turn right onto Chemin de la Chavée, which becomes a rough farm track after one kilometre.
(12) At the Stop sign, when you reach the D40, turn right towards Millery (not signposted). Stay on the D40.
(13) Just after an EDF site, at the junction with the D40b, a lovely cycle path begins which runs alongside the D40 and the Moselle, still heading towards Millery (see photo).
(14) This cycle path ends in Millery. At the end of the path, turn left and cycle for 900 m.
(15) In Millery, just after a tree-lined car park, turn right (towards the community hall) onto Rue des Chènevières, then take the second left onto Rue des Biches.
(16) Take the first street on the right, Rue de Saint-Priest.
(17) At the next junction, carry on straight ahead towards Nomeny on the D44 and drive for 3.5 km.
(18) At the junction, turn left, staying on the D44 towards Nomeny. Drive for 450 m.

(19) Turn right onto the D10 towards Belleau and Sivry (signposted).
(20) Head towards Moivrons, staying on the D10. Once in Moivrons, head to the starting car park (S/E).
