Description

Park at Fort Saint-Antoine on the road that climbs up to the Mont Faron, West of Toulon.

(D) Take the asphalt road for 500 m up to the first red and white barrier on the right, and follow the track that descends in the direction of the quarry (1) . Follow the yellow markers (a single line).
Take the first path on the left (2)and walk on the raised section of the quarry.
At the end of this trail (be careful of vertigo), take the poorly marked, upward trail.
This climbs steeply up to a small wall.(3)

Climb this wall and take the track in the middle that continues through the valley.
Ignore the trail to the left (5)(4) and arrive at the asphalt road.
Turn left and then right on the track, and continue up to the Saint Vincent hut.
After the cabin turn left on the upward track.
Arrive at the fountain (6), turn left, cross the road and climb the track in the direction of the Caserne du Centre.
When you get to the tank,(7)climb the track still in the direction of the barracks (Caserne).
Make a return trip to the barracks. There's a beautiful viewing point over North Toulon.
Take the track in the direction of the Parc zoologique. Pass the zoo and take the track in the direction of the Memorial.

Take the first right(8) on the Sentier des Crêtes and the follow it to get to the Memorial.
Enjoy the viewing point over West Toulon.

Resume the asphalt road to the right and immediately after the cable car station, take the trail down to the left.(9)
Continue on this trail which runs along the road.
This trail winds down and crosses the road several times.
You'll arrive at the fire-fighters' track, where you turn left.

I went on two walks I found on Visorando: "Le Revest - Tourris Castle" and "Tourris and the Pyramide de Cassini" before finding this itinerary that I'm recommending. The beginning of the first until the departmental road then part of the initial section of the second. Unlike the "Pyramide de Cassini", we discovered a route that's not marked on the maps but which joins the "Chemin des Turcos" in a forested area. A walk with uneven terrain that can be difficult at times.

Perched at an altitude of 800 metres, Mont Caume is one of the four Toulonais brothers which surround Toulon. It is certainly the highest; its summit is very dry as it's very exposed to winds and fluctuations in weather.
All these factors make ascending Mont Caume essential and well worth it.
The hike suggested here enables you to go all the way round the mountain and combines the pleasures of a very active route with the joys of a pretty much complete visit to both its summit and its slopes.

This active route will take you through the Croupatier to the Baou de Quatre Ouro, one of the four "Toulonais brothers". Paths and ledges where you have to use your hands, passages with ropes, discover the main caves of the massif, where the famous caves of the Château du Diable make the route more interesting.
