A six and a half mile walk with one steep hill which affords many open views on a mix of quiet roads and paths - some through wooded areas and some with broad open views.
Calne to High Penn Loop

Nice easy route starting with the Wilts & Berks canal, then along Abberd Brook - lots of opportunities to spot a variety of water birds and even otters have been seen. You walk up out of the town and into the countryside where the birdlife moves to red kites and buzzards. An amble through High Penn nature reserve with great views sees you walking down and back into Calne.
Tunnels and Kennet and Avon Canal

A walk with fine views over Bath. Then a taste of 19th Century transport following the Somerset and Dorset disused railway through two tunnels, with information about the railway's history. Later picking up the Kennet and Avon Canal for the return journey to Bath.
The Cam Brook Valley from Southstoke
A Somerset walk in the northern part of the county. The undulating route explores the hills and valleys to the south of Southstoke using field paths, the course of an old railway and tracks.
Frome to Whatley and Nunney

A circular walk from Frome to Whatley, then to Nunney along Nunney Combe and back to Frome via Critchill Farm.
It features the eastern end of the East Mendip Way.

This is a circular country and town walk, starting at Bath’s - Lansdown Park and Ride. The first part is along the Cotswold Way, the second is a walk-through of the Georgian City of Bath, calling at the Royal Crescent, the Circus and finishing at the Bath Abbey. Return to Lansdown P&R is by bus.
