Several car parks are to be found alongside each other, the start point of this Tregastel walk is near the Aquarium of Trégastel at the grass car park. From there, follow the road around the small hill.
Reach a second sandy car park which and cross it to reach the Renote Island. Take the path on the right. Nothing particularly complicated, just follow the path. At the beginning of course, looking towards Trégastel, further along, after passing a large rock several metres high (S/E), you will see ahead the island of the Chateau de Costaérès and, in the background, the chaos of Ploumanach, the lighthouse of Men Ruz and the coastal house (1).
By continuing to the end of the island, one can see in the distance the archipelago of 7 islands (2). This is also where the pink granite rocks are the most numerous, including a well-known saucer shaped one balanced on its base and flanked by hole. Follow the coastal path to return to Trégastel.
Once you have completed your tour of Renote Island, and after having again passed by the sandy car park (3), at its far end head right to explore the beaches and catch glimpses of the Rocher du Dé, a famous Trégastel landmark balancing on a promontory of pink granite.
Come back to the sandy car park at a place called Beg ar Vir, and head right towards the starting point.
Located between the beautiful white sandy beaches of Trégastel and the "chaos" of Ploumanach, this short hike explores the Pink Granite Coast going around Renote Island. Among the majestic pink granite rocks and vegetation you will discover beautiful landscapes sculpted by erosion.

The Pointe de Plougrescant is recognised around the world due to Castel-Meur: the house between the rocks. The hike starts at Saint-Gonery Chapel, equally famous for its crooked lead bell tower. The hike continues via the Baie de l'Enfer where you can admire the Jaudy estuary, then on to Pointe du Château - the most northerly point of this route - to see Castel Meur (private property) and finally to discover the gulf before returning to the departure point along the west coast of the point.
