Park your car in Crantock next to the roundabout in Water Lane car park.
(S/E) Head to the beautiful thatched house in Green Lane, go straight at the junction next to Sandbanks Holiday apartment and turn left to the private road following the public footpath signpost for 350 metres until you join the path.
(1) Continue until you reach the South West Coast path. At the junction signpost, turn right following Crantock Beach car park and walk along the beach and the dunes until the path reaches the car park.
(2) Go straight "Newquay Harbour" direction crossing over the road to the gate in front of you, go up the stairs and bear left (yellow arrow) towards "Gannel Estuary Walk, Penpol Creek 3/4m". Enjoy this stunning path which overlooks Gannel Estuary, Crantock Beach and East Pentire Headland on the opposite bank. You finally go through a gate which leads to a small road.
(3) Follow the coastal path signpost and turn left descending for 150 metres until you reach Penpol Creek.
Ignore the gate on you right but follow the path on your left before you walk on the sand (obviously at low tide!!!). Continue this unusual (but pleasant!) way along the coast on you right along River Gannel for almost one mile.
(4) When you see a starting path ascending on your right in woods, take it and go through the gate. You can admire nice views over the estuary and Newquay before you reach a T-junction. Bear right and ascend this path which becomes a track for one kilometre.
(5) When you reach a signpost with a yellow arrow (before the farm), bear immediately right going through the metallic gate, walk the field which leads to the hedge passage next to the solar field. Walk along this field until you join a farm.
(6) Go past the farm buildings on your left, then walk straight the track until you reach a house and the public footpath to Crantock on your left.
(7) Take this path, go through the gate and cross the new footbridge which leads to an open field. In the field, the path is not well marked but go up diagonally right to the corner heading to the trees. Past the path in the grove, go again diagonally right across the field.
(8) Cross over Trevelveth Road and follow the path going across two other fields before you reach Vosporth Hill. Descend this road on you left leading to the roundabout in Crantock.(S/E)
