Description

Park your car at Eagle car park in Snaresbrook Road.

(S/E) At the end of the car park, head to the large path and go straight ahead following yellow arrows. Ignore paths both left and right continuing straight across the open field.

(1) Close to Whipps Cross Road, bear right at the right angle still following yellow arrows. Turn right before you reach Hollow Pond and follow the water edge skirting right side. Walk along the pond for half a mile watching wildlife until you reach several beautiful and old oak trees in the woods.

(2) Head towards the signpost with a yellow arrow on the right which leads to a path in a field. Continue straight this path until you reach crossroads. Cross over Snaresbrook Road and Woodford New Road (use pedestrian crossing). Then, take the path next to Forest Rise and go across the field for 150 metres and then, along the trees on your right before you enter the woods still following signposts (white and yellow).

(3) Cross over St Peter's Path (concrete path) and go straight to Bullrush pond. Past the pond, bear sharply right at the second one. After 50 metres, turn left to the narrow grassy path which leads to Woodford New Road.

(4) Walk the pavement until you join the pedestrian crossing next to "Empire Lounge" Restaurant. Cross over the road to the path in front of you. Bear immediately left at the fork in the woods and go straight when you reach the next junction. Then, turn right joining a larger path which leads to the field. Go straight across this field.

(5) Cross the small stream and turn right in the second field. At the next junction, follow straight the yellow arrow which leads to Snaresbrook Road going past blue tennis courts on your right. Cross over the road and you are back to the car park.(S/E)
