Park your car at Bodinnick car park (at the entrance of the village from the road close the campsite).
(S/E) Go down the road leading to the ferry terminal but bear left at Barr's close. Ascend this dead-end, then follow the yellow arrow and the public footpath along the hedge leading to the main road. Turn left, go up this road for 100 meters and turn right at Old School House following Hall Walk signpost.
(1) Past a gate, this path leads to a junction, follow straight "Pont 1 1/2m, Polruan 3m", go past the 2nd World War Memorial and walk this overlooking coastal path until a stunning viewpoint close to "Q" memorial ("Q" was the novelist and scholar Sir Arthur Quiller-Couch who lived in Fowey from 1891 until his death). You can admire Polruan harbour on the east bank, Fowey on the other side of the estuary. Then, the path runs high along the northern bank of Pont Pill. You climb a few steps, pass through the kissing gate, then leave the main path when you enter the field bearing left.
(2) Go up along the hedge heading to the barrier you can see far away. Enter a second field on your left, follow the yellow arrow walking along the hedge on the right for half a mile until you reach a metallic barrier and a track.
(3) Go down the track overlooking the estuary leading to Hall Chapel. This half-ruined chapel is one of very few surviving medieval chapels in Cornwall! Continue down the field in front of you going past the farm until you finally reach a stile. Turn right, you are back to the footpath leading to the village. At the road turn left, go down to the river and the terminal ferry (you can read explanations about Bodinnick). You just need to continue ascending the road on your right and you are back to the car park.(S/E)
