Park your car at Coombe Farm National Trust car park.
(S/E) From the entrance, turn right onto the track following "the Coast Path, Coombe Haven" signpost, go past Coombe Farm heading to the meadow overlooking the sea. Bear sharply left along the field, then enter the grove until a junction with "The Saints Way" path.
(1) Turn right, descend the path which becomes progressively steeper and slippery. Be careful! If you want to make a detour to visit Fowey, turn left to join the road, go past Ready Money Cove on your right. Continue this road along the estuary enjoying the view over Polruan Harbour and his blockhouse protecting the other side of the bank.
(2) From the junction, turn right onto Lostwithiel Street, then left at the fork at South Street until you reach the church. From the church, go down Market Street or Webb street leading to the Town Quay where you can find a pub for a break. Retrace your steps until you join the first steep path you used.
(3) Ascend the path on your left (can be a bit muddy) and bear left two times at forks heading to St Catherine's Point. The castle built by the Tudor Henry VIII in 1540 provides a very nice viewpoint over the mouth of the River Fowey and Polruan! St' Catherine's Point became as well the site of a Royal Artillery coastal defence battery during the Second World War. Retrace your steps to the last fork, bear left until the path joins the coastal path when you enter an open meadow.
(4) Head to the lovely Coombe Haven walking along the coast. Continue up until you catch sight of Gribbin Head and his daymark in front of you far away. You finally reach Polridmouth Cove.
(5) From this cove, bear right at Coombe Farm car park signpost (yellow arrow). Past the gate, climb this path between fields leading to the car park.(S/E)
