(S/E) Park at Farley Mount Monument car park
Follow the Clarendon Way path from the end of the car park.
(1) Soon reach a left turn, which takes you to Farley Mount Monument. Retrace steps to the main path and continue enjoying fine views to the right. Upon reaching woodland the path divides. Fork right to continue on Clarendon Way downhill.
(2) Where the path meets the lane, take the path left at a right angle. This heads gently uphill and bears right.
(3) At a junction with a left turn, continue straight on. However, if you want a shorter walk turn left here and continue until you reach the main walk. Ignore right turn. Continue past riding stables and Hoplands.
(4) Once out of woodland take a path turning sharply left. This runs along a valley bottom to reach a woodland edge. Turn left and follow the track along the edge of the wood. Soon enter the wood on this track.
This is a private wood, so you stick to the track all the way through.
(5) On reaching a path crossing with open ground ahead to the left, turn left along the forest edge track. This brings you to where you forked right earlier. Turn right to resume your outward journey.(S/E)
