(S) From the Druridge Bay Visitor Centre Car Park, use one of the paths towards the beach out onto the access road (you are now on the England Coast Path) and turn right following the road around the bend.
(1) There may be a chain across the road walk past this and at the coach park turn left along the tarmac road. You may walk along the dunes if you wish instead of the road.
(2) The track will eventually bend to the right and cross Chevington Burn, continue on the tarmac road.
(3) When the road bends to the right, take the left-hand footpath/cycle path which continues in a southerly direction, crossing Dunbar Burn, you will now rejoin the access road. Continue past Druridge Bay Pools Nature Reserve on your right.
(4) At the end of Druridge Links the access road rejoins the main road, turn left here onto the dunes (there is no footpath along the road although the cycle path follows this road). Make your way across the dunes (or beach) in a southerly direction.
(5) If the tide is in you may have to walk back towards the road to a footbridge to cross the stream, otherwise continue down the dunes/beach.
(6) Turn right down the path and turn left onto the road walking alongside Cresswell Pond, cross the bridge over Blackmoor Burn and then bear left again onto the dunes.
(7) If you are following the path over the dunes, bear right towards the road, cross the footbridge over Croft Letch and walk through the car park and pick up the dune path at the other side, alternatively continue walking along the beach.
(8) The dune path should eventually take you back to the road, steps lead up from the beach to Cresswell Ices.
Walk to Cresswell Pele Tower where the walk ends. (E)
