Description

(S/E) From here cross the main road and walk left along the road till you see a gate with a footpath sign that takes you across a field. Continue across fields until you briefly cross a road then spot a footpath up the hill to your left. Once at the top your back on fields again. Keep going (you will see the monument in the trees ahead, this is a good visual clue)

(1) At the top of the ridge, turn left over a stone stile, by a sign about the Lansdown battle. Continue on the path to the monument. Then cross the main road and follow the road round until you see the gate for the Cotswold Way. Follow this out into a field looking out across some amazing views.

(2) Keep going until you get the sharp left turn. This is called Hanging Hill. Then continue back in a straight line through the edge of the golf course, through a small wood. Till you return to the car park again.(S/E)
